I'm no stranger to finding paltry ready-made solutions for my life (e.g., pant legs and blouse sleeves that are too short) so when I was shopping for the perfect Xmas gift I had in mind for a certain someone I was not surprised I couldn't find a winter hat that was luxurious, large enough for a curly head, and satin lined for curl protection (if you know, you know). I did, however, find a faux fur hat in size XXL on Amazon, ordered some stretch satin in a complementary color, and got busy hacking this gift.
