Warmth in Winter
My husband finds me so very unattractive in my winter lounge wear (house dress? snuggie?). It is: warm, a beautiful color, and made from a king-sized flat sheet(!). Were I to make another, I'd make the turtle neck part a bit shorter. As you can see, it looks like I am wearing a fuzzy, lavender, python around my neck. It kinda feels like that, too, unfortunately. However, it hides my double chin so I am uninspired to unpick it and reduce its volume. The best part? The sleeves are long enough! It grazes the floor! Love, love, love.
Butterick pattern B7014, Size BB (1X-5X). I sewed a 2X, I think. It is roomy! I only wish the pattern offered a kangaroo, sweatshirt-type pouch.
Obligatory mirror shot. Pose: compliments of the following inner dialog: "Oh, dear. I am not wearing a bra. How scandalous!"
A nice shot of the cuff detail.
It goes to the floor!
Fuzzy, lavender, double-chin hidin', neck python.
Bonus photo: A "cutting table" we put in the basement of our new house (actually a FaceBook Marketplace dining table that was too big for our new space). At this age, it solves the problem of crawling on the floor to cut out patterns and wear and tear on my back and knees. A true upgrade!
